McKenzie L. Miller, Ph.D.
Dr. McKenzie Miller (she/her/hers) is a licensed psychologist (NYS License #027525) who specializes in evidence-based treatment for eating disorders, OCD, anxiety disorders, and related concerns across the lifespan. She tailors treatment to each individual’s needs and identity, using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approaches, including Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Family-Based Therapy (FBT) for eating disorders, and strategies from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Dr. Miller takes a collaborative, supportive, and practical approach and is passionate about helping individuals live in line with their values while discovering and remembering that they are capable of doing hard things.
Dr. Miller earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University at Albany, SUNY, where her research focused on transdiagnostic mechanisms of eating disorders, including cognitive inflexibility, and the dissemination of evidence-based treatments (ORCID profile). She completed her predoctoral internship at Rogers Behavioral Health in Wisconsin, training in the Anxiety and OCD residential program, and her postdoctoral fellowship at Albany Medical Center in New York, providing inpatient and outpatient care for eating disorders and general consultation-liaison psychology.
