Sukkhmani Oberoi, Ph.D.

Dr. Sukkhmani (Sukki) Oberoi is a postdoctoral fellow who specializes in working with children, adolescents, and families navigating anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), neurodevelopmental delays, and other emotional and behavioral challenges. She has a particular interest in supporting neurodivergent children and adolescents experiencing anxiety and OCD, as well as helping families better understand and support their child’s unique strengths and needs. Dr. Oberoi takes a warm, collaborative, and individualized approach to care, integrating evidence-based interventions with each client’s developmental needs, strengths, culture, values, and goals. She strives to create a therapeutic environment where children and families feel understood, supported, and empowered.

Dr. Oberoi received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Palo Alto University, where her training focused on pediatric and health psychology. As a doctoral student, she gained experience in psychological assessment, individual and group therapy, and parent-focused interventions. Her clinical work has included comprehensive neurodevelopmental evaluations of children and adolescents, as well as evidence-based treatment for anxiety and other related mood and behavioral difficulties.

Dr. Oberoi completed her predoctoral internship at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center, Center for Development and Disability, specializing in neurodevelopmental delays and treatment for children and families experiencing a range of developmental, emotional, and behavioral challenges. She is currently completing her postdoctoral fellowship at Pacific Anxiety Group, where she continues to develop expertise in the treatment of anxiety and OCD in children and adolescents.

Dr. Oberoi is fluent in English, Hindi, and Punjabi. She is passionate about providing culturally responsive care and helping clients access thoughtful, individualized support that recognizes both challenges and strengths.
