Lauren C. Callahan, Psy.D.

Dr. Callahan (she/her/hers) is a licensed clinical psychologist (PSY 34062). She specializes in cognitive behavioral therapy and other empirically supported approaches for children and adolescents with anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, trauma-related disorders, and behavioral challenges. Dr. Callahan’s approach is active, collaborative, and supported by research in psychological science.

Dr. Callahan earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the PGSP-Stanford Psy.D. Consortium. During her doctoral training, Dr. Callahan completed practica in developmental and neuropsychological assessment, outpatient and school-based mental health services, gender affirmative care, and pediatric psychology within Stanford University’s Child and Adolescent Psychiatry department. Her graduate research focused on examining the relationship between coping and adaptation among medically complex children and their families.

Dr. Callahan completed a predoctoral internship at the Yale University School of Medicine’s Child Study Center where she received specialty training in the treatment of childhood anxiety disorders under the mentorship of Drs. Eli Lebowitz and Wendy Silverman. She completed her clinical postdoctoral fellowship with the Pacific Anxiety Group.

Dr. Callahan is passionate about creating an environment in which clients feel valued and understood. By carefully considering the strengths, vulnerabilities, and needs of children and families alike, she aims to support all of her clients in living happier lives.
