Anxiety Disorders in Children / Adolescents

Like adults, children and adolescents can suffer from anxiety disorders and depression. Although children experience the symptoms in much the same way as adults, they may display and react to symptoms differently.  Research has shown that if left untreated, children with anxiety disorders and depression are at higher risk for negative outcomes such as poor school performance, poor social skills, and substance abuse.
